How to Contribute

Giving to your local community can be a hugely rewarding experience. There is a unique sense of satisfaction in knowing that you are making a difference to the lives of others, especially those close to home.

You don’t have to be a member of the Port Community Fund to help – anyone can donate or raise funds to support our cause.

If you are a business, the Port Community Fund offers you the opportunity to increase the effectiveness of your charitable giving, achieve greater publicity for the good work you do, and reduce the administrative cost of doing it. You may even wish to consider making the Port Community Fund your company’s chosen charity for the year?

If you are an individual or group of friends, we welcome your support too. Perhaps you are organising or participating in a fund-raising activity or event and would like to nominate the Port Community Fund as your charitable cause?

Whoever you are, and whatever your contribution, the Port Community Fund greatly appreciates your support in helping make a difference to the local community.

The Fund is managed by Suffolk Community Foundation, under the control of a Grants Panel. Each of the Fund’s member companies provides a representative on the Panel, which meets four times a year. The Panel sets the donations policy for the Fund and, on a quarterly basis, decides upon individual donations.

Donations to the Port Community Fund should be made to ‘Suffolk Community Foundation’ and sent to the following address. Please write ‘Port Community Fund’ on the back of any cheques.
